Personal Statement
Recently, my friend Xu Yinuo returned from the US. She was my classmate when we were at No. 4 High School of Beijing. She is now studying at the MariettaCollege majoring in Business Management and she has introduced some finance education updatings there, showing a lot of photos of the M.C.. Especially she once mentioned Financial Planning, one of the nine core values of the college, which has triggered my interest of going there for Finance study, as it's brand new to me and I have never come across this kind of appealing in domestic higher education ideology.
My friend Xu's story went on and she talked about the OhioState, where seven US presidents came from, the Wright brothers were born, who raised the curtain on the age of mechanical flight and Edison spent his childhood, who invented the light bulb and the phonograph…
I have been brought up in the environment where I can often hear about all kinds of Wall Street legends. It goes without saying that a sophisticated banking and financial system is surely based on the solid business education and business culture. Isn't there another country other than the US that will attract me to go there to get business management education? Since I have made up my mind to go the US, then which state shall I go? Focusing on Finance, I am currently at RenminUniversity in a metropolitan hub with a population of 13 million and this time I will pick a quiet campus like the M.C to finish my college life.
I have been growing up in the environment, where I once worked as market surveyor for a local shopping mall; spent some weekends in the old folks home; participated in the volunteers activities in welcoming the 08 Beijing Olympics.
I have been fostered in the environment where my parents have always been supporting me unreservedly. My father used to accompany me in long distance run training. As a result, I won the third place in the women's 800-m race in my University. As for my mother when I was a child, my mother let me practice piano, paving the way to the Silver Prize at Shandong Province Piano Performance in China. This time, as an entrepreneur, she encourages me to study abroad by offering spiritual and financial aid, and I am sure I will not let her down.
As I have won numerous math and physics competition prizes since I entered the elementary school with the most distinctive one—Bronze Medal of the Science Contest in BeijingCity, I am confident that my excellent science foundation will help me smoothly undertake the subject. Besides that, RenminUniversity, where I am studying, ranks No.3 in China and has long been providing native English teachers to coach our English, which can strengthen my linguistic competitiveness in obtaining a B.C. in the US.
My heart is beating with my family members. When I finish my university life, I will definitely return to my mother's enterprise to reinforce her business, optimizing her management system with what I have learned, in order to reward my mother's effort and to return my gratitude.
